The Maker

It started with my mom's Christmas caramel.

Growing up, my mom would make huge batches of homemade caramel popcorn every Christmas for family and friends. Helping her in the kitchen — that's one of my favorite memories.

Years later I taught my middle school culinary students the same recipe. They loved it just as much as I did. Then I brought a batch to a get-together with friends and noticed something: everyone naturally gathered around it. People snacking, laughing, talking. Friends started asking for bags.

With 20+ years in the food industry and a lifelong love of experimenting with flavor, Buck's became a way to combine handcrafted small-batch popcorn, bold gourmet flavors, and a love for western Americana — the kind of food that brings people together and becomes part of memories.

Third pull of the week. Same caramel recipe my mom used — vanilla from the bottle, not the extract bottle. Slow-cook caramel hits different when you trust the timer to lie a little.
